Live Music

Live music events are common in Valdez and are a great way to experience the local culture.

During the summer, many bars and restaurants will host live music performances or open-mic nights, and the vaudeville Far North Follies theater show runs. In July and August, live musicians are featured as part of the Valdez's Gold Rush Days celebration. More performances are scheduled in late August for the Richardson Highway Rendezvous, an annual music festival held along the Valdez waterfront. 

During the winter, the Valdez Arts Council keeps the town entertained by bringing in world class musicians to perform at the Civic Center.
