Valdez Convention & Visitors Bureau
The Valdez Convention & Visitors Bureau (VCVB) is a nonprofit destination marketing organization started in 1983, encouraging and promoting tourism, tourist activities, travel to and through Valdez, convention business, and maintaining an interest in the well-being of visitors. The Valdez CVB is a membership-based organization, working with its businesses and individual members to increase tourism and grow the local economy.
The VCVB is a highly entrepreneurial organization that collaborates and partners with municipal, community and business organizations to promote Valdez as the preferred destination within Alaska. Capitalizing on the resources that Valdez has to offer is at the core of the Valdez Convention & Visitors Bureau mission.
The VCVB encourages and promotes tourism and tourist related activities, convention business, travel by the public to and through Valdez, and maintains a continuing interest in the well-being of visitors in the Valdez area.
Mission Statement
To promote Valdez as a year round destination for travel, tourism, and business.
Valdez Visitors Information Center
The VCVB operates the Valdez Visitor Information Center, which is open year-round.
SUMMER HOURS: Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm; Weekends 10am - 6pm.
WINTER HOURS: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. Closed weekends

Board of Directors
The Valdez Convention & Visitors Bureau is a non-profit organization (501(c)6) and the official tourism marketing entity for the City of Valdez. The organization is governed by its by-laws and guided by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors are residents of Valdez in accordance to the corporations by-laws.

Membership
Our members are local businesses and non-profit organizations in Valdez and our neighboring communities in Prince William Sound and the Copper River Valley. We currently have members in Valdez, Cordova, Glennallen, Copper Center, Chitina, Kennecott/McCarthy, and Chistochina. Other members are based in Fairbanks, Anchorage, and Delta Junction.
