The Valdez Fly-In is the premier bush plane competition in the Western United States! The Fly-In usually takes place the second weekend in May, though has been postponed to June 27-28, 2020 this year. The Valdez Fly-In features the world famous STOL competition, beach landing, balloon bust, flour bombing, aerobatics show and pilot round tables. Enjoy camaraderie with your fellow pilots. There is a wide array of events for the whole family.
While the 2020 Valdez Fly-In was scheduled to take place in May this year, the Fly-In organization decided to postpone the event until the last weekend in June:
"The board of the Valdez Fly-In has decided to postpone the 2020 event to the weekend of June 27-28. We will confirm that an event on that date will still be possible by June 1st. During these unprecedented times will we need to assure that we will be able to have the event in a safe manner for all involved. We hope that our lives have returned to somewhat normal by then. When we all get through this we are going to need events like the Fly-In to reconnect with friends for fun, fellowship and flying."
