The Valdez Fly-In is the premier bush plane competition in the Western United States! The Fly-In usually takes place the second weekend in May, though has been postponed to June 27-28, 2020 this year. The Valdez Fly-In features the world famous STOL competition, beach landing, balloon bust, flour bombing, aerobatics show and pilot round tables. Enjoy camaraderie with your fellow pilots. There is a wide array of events for the whole family.
The 2020 Valdez Fly-In has unfortunately been canceled. The Valdez Fly-In organization issued the following statement on June 5, 2020:
"The Valdez Fly In regrettably announces that the 2020 event is cancelled. We had hoped to be able to hold the rescheduled event late June but requirements to reduce exposure to the CoVid virus and the lack of time prevented us from holding the type of event we have become known for. Rather than a restructured event with fewer opportunities for social interaction it was determined best to redirect efforts to planning a renewed fly in for 2021. We appreciate all the attendance and support from the past years and look forward to seeing you all in 2021."
