Despite the name "Valdez Trail" this hiking trail is not located in Valdez, but in our neighboring community of Copper Center. This hiking trail is a short segment of an historical trail. It is an east trail on gravel. The trail head is located near the Visitor Center for the Wrangell St. Elias National Park.
Walk in the tracks of early Alaskan pioneers. This 1/2 mile loop trail follows one of the few remaining sections of the Valdez Trail, replaced today by the Richardson Highway.
