The leaders of our adventures are our epically experienced guides — recognized as some of the best in the business — who are teamed with riders at a low 4:1 or 3:2 ratio. Many of them have been skiing in the Chugach since heli-skiing arrived in 1989. They’ve won medals in extreme skiing and have worked just as hard earning certifications as the most highly qualified mountain guides, avalanche predictors, and medical first responders. On vacation, they ski and climb the biggest peaks in the Himalayas, the Alaska Range, the Alps, and the Andes. In the three decades we’ve been flying, our guides have developed a safety program designed to minimize the risks, and that includes a thorough safety training and run-by-run briefings for every guest whose boots enter the chopper.
