Richardson Highway Rendezvous

Annual Music and Art Festival in Valdez!

Richardson Highway Rendezvous (RHR) is an annual music and art festival held each August in Valdez, Alaska. Each year RHR invites local and regional food, craft, and art vendors to join the festival. Proceeds from the events go to local music programs and scholarships. Past musical acts have included everything from solo acoustic guitar acts, bluegrass groups, Elvis impersonators, gospel, to rock-a-billy. A portion of the proceeds also go to benefit the Friends of the Valdez Animal Shelter.

Kids Carnival Games

The Friends of the Valdez Animal Shelter sponsors a host of fun and interactive kids carnival games each year from NOON-4PM at the RHR Music & Art Fest. Games include bean bag toss, knock the can, wacky golf and more. Kids can earn tickets at each game and later purchase prizes from our RHR booth. Each game does require a ticket to play, which can also be purchased at the main RHR booth. Proceeds benefit the Valdez Animal Shelter.
