Suggested Itineraries - In Valdez

Valdez, Alaska is an essential element of a successful Alaska tour but is not necessarily included in all mainstream itineraries. Choose to make your itinerary unique and stand out from your competition by including a visit to Mother Natures Favorite – Valdez.
It takes time to experience all the wonders of Valdez. We suggest you Allow yourself at least two days to explore our glaciers, towering mountains, rushing waterfalls, extreme natural beauty and bountiful wildlife that makes visiting Valdez a true Alaskan experience. The small size of Valdez makes exploring the town on foot, bicycle or vehicle easy to do. Don’t let a little rain or inclement weather keep you from getting out and experiencing all that Valdez has to offer.

This is an express itinerary based on a one night stay and day tour of the Prince William Sound...

Day One:
-  Morning -drive to Valdez from Tok or Glennallen.
- 12:00 PM join the Columbia Glacier Cruise offered by one of our local outfitters.
- Dinner at one of our locally owned restaurants.
- Overnight at one of our comfortable hotel or B&B properties.

Day Two:
- Morning - visit one or more of our museums or drive to Dayville road and check out the fish hatchery, the bears and a vast array of sea life in the area. Do not feed bears or get near them. They can be deadly.
- Depart Valdez via the scenic Richardson Highway towards Fairbanks, Tok or Anchorage, or take the Alaska Marine Highway to Whittier.

Whether you fly, drive or cruise to get here, Alaska's Adventure Corridor is waiting for adventurous independent travelers as well as small groups desiring unmatched scenic beauty and personal, hands-on activities.
